Rachel Bloom no longer has heavy breasts.
The “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” star recently had a breast reduction surgery and shared the news on social media. Bloom, 34, stated that her decision to reduce the size was due to the fact that her breasts changed drastically after she became pregnant and then started breastfeeding.
Not only did they grow in size and texture, Bloom’s breasts also caused neck pain and other ailments.
Bloom said she felt like she had “big soft balls” hanging on her chest.Instagram
“I got rashes under my chest, grooves on my shoulders (when your bra strap digs into your skin), neck problems and night sweats (I couldn’t sleep unless I had a pillow BETWEEN my breasts),” she wrote Actress on Instagram.
Bloom said that her breasts were usually DD / DDD cup sizes, but that they jumped to an G after pregnancy.
She went on to say that she met with three different doctors before deciding which one to best perform the reduction surgery with.
Bloom already feels “comfortable and relieved” after her reduction operation.Instagram
“My request was to just go back to my pre-pregnancy size (if not maybe a little smaller),” said Bloom.
Bloom’s “after” photo shows her still smiling after the operation, while wearing a compression vest and lying in bed.
“I’m still healing, so we’ll see what happens,” wrote Bloom under the photos on Instagram. “But I feel more comfortable and relieved.”
Before the reduction surgery, Bloom sang about her breasts in a song in “My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”. The song was called “Heavy Boobs” and the lyrics were inspired by Bloom’s own personal experiences.
