The neck muscles are put under strain when the head leans forward to look at the phone. Bringing the phone to eye level can help align the head, neck, and back. Notice the “chin tucked in” head position, and the straight back. The ears are aligned with the shoulders to relieve neck and back muscles.
When using a phone, you should always look straight ahead. You don’t need to look at the phone. Looking up at it can be even more dangerous. If you are laying on your back and looking at your phone, this can cause your upper spine to be damaged. Try looking up at your phone while sitting upright or lying on your back.
OTHER PREVENTION

Do weather changes trigger headaches?
What causes your headaches? Some people can get headaches from changing weather conditions. Learn more about the relationship between neurological conditions and weather changes.

Neurologist Elizabeth Hartman MD helps people with neurological disorders. She focuses on headaches and migraines, as well as multiple sclerosis. She also helps patients with spasticity and myasthenia, as well as neuropathy. All of these conditions can be affected by heat or cold.
Dr. Hartman says that MS patients experience weather-related changes in their symptoms. Heat, in particular, can temporarily worsen old symptoms. This is called Uhtoff’s phenomena. “Before CT scanners and MRIs became available, MS diagnosis could be confirmed by evaluating the worsening symptoms of patients after a hot shower.”
Some people with neuropathy also experience an intolerance of heat. Patients with epilepsy may experience an increase in seizures if they have a fever and an infection, but the weather has no impact. Heat can increase myasthenia and cold may improve myasthenia. Spasticity caused by neurological disorders like cerebral palsy or MS, or spinal cord injury can cause muscle stiffness.
The barometric pressure is the weight of air. It drops when the weather becomes humid and rises when the weather turns dry. It can cause headaches and chemical imbalances when the barometric changes. A change in weather can worsen a headache or migraine.
Dr. Hartman says that many people with headaches believe that weather changes can trigger headaches. This is especially true for migraine sufferers. The most common weather trigger is a rapid change in barometricpressure with storms. Bright sunlight, cloudy weather and extreme temperatures are also triggers.
Weather changes or weather-related triggers may also cause an imbalance of brain chemicals such as serotonin. This can lead to a migraine. Other triggers are dry air, high humidities, wind, and sun glare.
Dr. Hartman explains migraine as a neurological disorder which often runs in families. Having one parent with migraine is associated to a 50% chance that you will also suffer from migraines. Hormones can also affect headaches. This is especially true for women.
Dr. Hartman says that estrogen fluctuations can cause headaches for women. These headaches are called menstrual migraines. Menstrual migraines are headaches that occur around the time of menstruation and may not respond well to medication. Many women experience migraines during pregnancy, and they improve significantly after menopause.
All of the 150 types of headaches are treatable. Tension headaches range in severity from mild to moderate. Migraines affect at least one in ten people and can be disruptive to daily activities. They are sometimes worsened by light or sound.
Patients who suffer from migraines and feel that the weather is a trigger should speak to their doctor. Prescription medications can be used to treat severe headaches that don’t respond well to over-the counter medications.

The Belgian, who had been wearing a black wet weather gear throughout the previous day’s stage, wore his standard white world championship kit at the start of the race in Napoli, instead of the black wet weather gear he wore during the soggy stage on Wednesday. He even displayed his football skills at the sign-on podium. “I slept very well,” he said. He added that he felt “happy” with the feeling, despite the marks left overnight. Evenepoel was involved in two crashes on a slippery and wet stage 5. The first occurred when a dog crossed the road during the opening hours, and the second happened on the chaotic run up to Salerno when he collided with two Trek-Segafredo cyclists. “It’s life, it’s racing, we have to deal with it and try to handle the pain as much as possible, and try to relax as much as possible, because I’ll need a lot of energy now to heal from the wounds. But until now everything feels pretty well, so I’m happy with the feeling.”
Asked if he feared for his Giro, Evenepoel said: “No. Not fear. That’s racing. That’s life. These things happen.
“There are still some problems in the back area, but I have the impression that when I’m on the bike it’s better than when I’m off it, or when I’m sat on a chair. We’ll see. We’re cyclists, we have to suffer more in certain moments than in others. I have to accept it and push the pedals.”
Team doctor Toon Cruyt, who had issued a sobering warning over the potential impact of Evenepoel’s injuries on Wednesday night, also cut a more optimistic tone in Napoli on Thursday morning.
“He had a good night. He slept well and the treatments that the osteopath and the kineo did last night worked well. We’ll see how he reacts on the bike but I hope that it will be okay,” Cruyt said.
“It depends on how the race develops, if it’s like this [dry], then it’s an advantage compared to rain, when there can be crashes – we should avoid that now.”
There will be a great deal of intrigue as to how Evenepoel comes through Thursday’s stage 6, which features undulating terrain and a couple of categorised climbs but is straight-forward from a general classification perspective. The same, however, cannot be said of Friday’s summit finish on the Gran Sasso d’Italia, the first major climbing encounter of this year’s Giro.
It is often said that the second day after a crash is often be when the effects are felt most keenly, something Evenepoel himself acknowledged with reference to his crash on stage 12 of last year’s Vuelta a España, where he ticked off the flat stage 13 but then lost 48 seconds to Primož Roglič at the Sierra de la Pandera.
“I just hope I don’t have a bad day, because last year in Vuelta after two days I had a bad day. We’ll see,” Evenepoel said.

Cruyt, however, didn’t appear overly concerned by the two-day prospect, pointing to Evenepoel’s mental strength.
“Usually the first two days are important but if he passes well today, I think he’ll be ok for tomorrow,” Cruyt said.

What causes headaches? The most common headache is a tension type headache, which is often caused by stress, depression or anxiety. Other types of headaches include migraines, sinus headaches, cluster headaches and migraines.
What are the best natural remedies to treat headaches?
These headache remedies can help relieve some of the pain and discomfort caused by headaches.
- A warm shower will help you relax. It may also reduce muscle pain, which could be contributing to tension headaches.
- Stay Hydrated By Drinking Water. Add foods high in water like cucumber, celery and watermelon to your diet.
- Meditation can reduce tension from a headache by sitting in a comfortable posture and regulating your breathing until you feel relaxed.
- Progressive Muscle Relaxation may also provide some relief. Sitting comfortably, begin to regulate and deepen your breathing. Review your body’s trouble spots, and breathe deeply to loosen them up.
- Listening to relaxing sounds such as music or recorded nature sounds. The rhythms and melodies of gentle music can help you relax, reduce body tension, and slow down your breathing.

The only exercise in this routine that doesn’t require foam rollers is the pelvic tilt. Williams’ video demonstration may seem minimal, but it’s important to get the movement right.
Inhale and pull your rib cage towards you to perform a pelvic tip. Your lower back should naturally form an arch that extends from it to the floor. Hold this position for a moment, then exhale while pulling your belly button toward your spine. While doing this, tilt your hips upwards. This should cause your lower spine to lay flat on the floor.
You’ll need a foam roller underneath your hips to perform the remaining exercises. During each exercise, use your core muscles to control your legs’ motion.

Lily Venus, a resident of Winchester in England, loved fitness. Venus loved fitness so much, that she made it her career. People took online fitness classes due to the pandemic, and the lockdowns that followed. By September 2021, Venus taught exercise classes six times a weeks. The 24-year-old seemed to be doing well, but she began experiencing health problems despite her regular exercise.

Venus revealed in an interview with Molly Pennington that she had begun to feel “incredibly tired.” She also had trouble waking up in the morning, and felt pain in her neck. Venus went to the doctor after she could no longer teach her classes because of a lump in her throat.

Venus and her partner Ryan got a new puppy in addition to teaching online classes. Venus, now 26, initially believed that she was exhausted because of overexertion. She also thought the neck pain came from “tweaking my neck.” But after examining the lump and undergoing further tests, doctors made a grim diagnosis.
They told me that Lily Venus was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This is a blood cancer. Venus led an active lifestyle where fitness was a major factor, but cancer developed inside her. The doctors immediately prescribed chemotherapy and she underwent 12 painful sessions over six months.

Venus responded immediately to treatment, even though her cancer had reached the fourth stage. After her four first sessions, the doctors reduced the dosage. She is thankful that doctors caught cancer at an early stage. “Hodgkins Lymphoma grows quickly.” Venus told Molly Pennington, “Who knows where I would have been if I had not started chemotherapy immediately?” The 26-year old is now cancer-free and ready to rebuild her life.
Lily Venus has still unfulfilled dreams
“I’ve always wanted to be a mother,” Venus said to the reporter. Before starting the chemotherapy, doctors warned Venus that she might lose her fertility. Ryan Lynch, her 36-year old partner, prioritized the treatment above the IFV doctors recommended, which would have delayed the treatment. Venus was able to keep her fertility.

The 26-year old is also regaining her strength and vitality. Winchester resident revealed that her body had changed after the cancer treatment and the grueling chemotherapy. Venus has also developed allergies that she had never experienced before. “My heart and organs will always be weaker, but I’m so grateful to have a new appreciation of how wonderful life is,” the survivor said.
